Martin Schwartz, a police psychologist, lost his wife and son five years ago. It happened during a vacation on the cruise ship Sultan of the Seas – no one could tell him exactly what happened. Martin has been a mental wreck ever since and numbs himself with suicide missions as an undercover investigator. In the middle of a mission, he receives a call from a strange old lady who describes herself as a thriller writer: He absolutely had to come on board the Sultan, she said, as there was evidence of what had happened to his family.
