Use the forced break due to the pandemic to write a book together!
Sebastian Fitzek, thousands of thriller fans and well-known German-language bestselling authors support the book trade with exciting short stories in times of the corona crisis
Under the motto #wirschreibenzuhause, bestselling author Sebastian Fitzek called on his Instagram followers to take part in an interactive writing competition at the end of March 2020. 1142 enthusiastic fans got to work and sent in their thriller stories revolving around the theme of “identity”, the motif of “revenge” and the discovery of a cell phone with menacing images on it – pure thrills!
A jury of authors, agents and publishing house employees selected the thirteen most gripping stories, which will now appear in the thriller anthology “Identity 1142”. In addition, ten of the most successful German-language bestselling authors contributed their own thrilling short stories: Wulf Dorn, Andreas Gruber, Romy Hausmann, Daniel Holbe, Vincent Kliesch, Charlotte Link, Ursula Poznanski, Frank Schätzing and Michael Tsokos – as well as Sebastian Fitzek himself, of course.
The result is a very special kind of charity project: all profits from the sale of the short story anthology will benefit the book trade via the Sozialwerk des Deutschen Buchhandels e.V.

Fitzek’s thrillers are breathtaking, full of wild twists.
Sebastian Fitzek is simply amazing. I truly hope that one day I will be able to create suspense and plot twists in the way only Sebastian can. A true Master of his craft.
