The gift

Milan Berg is standing at a traffic light when a car pulls up next to him. In the back seat is a completely terrified girl. She desperately presses a note against the windshield. A cry for help? Milan can’t read it – because he is illiterate! One of over two million in Germany. But he senses that the girl is in mortal danger.
When he starts searching for her, he begins a nightmarish odyssey that ends with a cruel realization: sometimes the truth is too horrible to live with – and ignorance is the greatest gift on earth.
