Mats Krüger, an experienced and successful psychiatrist, has to overcome his fear of flying when his pregnant daughter Nele who is about of have her baby seeks contact with him after years of silence. Mats, who emigrated to Argentina by boat after the death of his wife, never planned to return. But Nele suddenly asks her father to help her after the birth of her baby.
After taking a seminar to address his fear of flying, Mats boards the long-haul flight Buenos Aries – Berlin. But shortly after taking his sea, he realizes he had prepared himself for the wrong fears: it wasn’t the turbulence, loss of pressure or terror warnings that placed him in a terrible spiritual emergency. It was a stranger’s call that shows him a former patient is on board. Someone that Krüger had tried to free of his murderous violent fantasies. A call that should bring over 600 passengers, himself included, to their death…
